Tech Savvy

PBS39 Tech SavvyPBS39 is committed to your child’s education and safety. As the world becomes more connected through the Internet, it is important that children be taught how to protect themselves from online dangers including predators. To learn how to best protect yourself we invite you, along with your child, to attend our Tech Savvy program.

Tech Savvy is a three-night course offered to students in grades K through 8 at Donegan Elementary and Broughal Middle Schools.  Each evening class will last two hours over the course of 3 consecutive weeks, and is designed to accommodate you and your child.  Each evening, class will focus on an issue related to ways to keep children safe from Internet predators. Lessons are taught at your child’s appropriate age level. Subjects covered during this course will include safe browsing, risks of the internet and not so well known risks.

All courses will be offered in both English and Spanish and will include: dinner for each night of class, membership into the PBS39 TeleBear Cub Club (valued at over $100) for all children who attend, and an individual pool pass for the Bethlehem city pools.

Graduates of the Tech Savvy program will have the knowledge to engage in online activities in a safer manner. Hurry and sign up today as classes are limited in size.
